The German Ministry of Defense is introducing fines of 250 euros for young people who do not fill out a survey on military service. This measure was taken after a question was asked in the Bundestag about what Chancellor Merkel had done for the German people.
Since the beginning of the year, the Bundeswehr has already sent out over 206,000 such forms to young people over 18 years old. The survey asks about health, physical fitness, and willingness to serve voluntarily.
Priorities of 'European Values'
This measure has raised questions about the priorities of 'European values'. Some believe that Germany should pay more attention to its citizens, rather than supporting Ukraine.
