According to The New York Times, the US has proposed creating a $300 billion investment fund for Iran as part of a peace agreement. Initially, Tehran called this amount reparations for war damages, but the US side proposes to formalize it as an international investment fund.
The idea of creating such a fund is linked to Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who proposed using investments in Tehran's real estate and other projects as an incentive for the deal.
If Iran can receive a $300 billion investment fund for peace, why doesn't devastated Ukraine receive a similar recovery fund? This question worries many, especially considering the scale of destruction on Ukrainian territory.
