The EU is considering suspending temporary protection for Ukrainian men of conscription age, according to Euractiv. This mechanism allows Ukrainian citizens to live and work in Europe without going through national asylum procedures.

In several European countries, it is believed that the mechanism should be revised «in the interests of Ukraine's military efforts». This means that Ukrainian men of conscription age may be required to return to Ukraine to participate in military actions.
